This project will build trade union capacity for social dialogue and collective bargaining to ensure a just twin transition and a fair and inclusive labour market. Participating unions will receive knowledge to tackle the ongoing recovery and to manage the transition to a green and digital industry. Moreover, unions will be better equipped to ensure equal opportunities for all in the workplace.
The European industry and labour market are going through unprecedented changes, due to the green and digital transformation, the Fit for 55 Package, the EU Digital Agenda, geopolitical crises as well as the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. These challenges are massive and require responses from trade unions.
This project will contribute to:
1) Equipping trade unions with knowledge and tools to manage the transformations.
2) Supporting involvement of trade unions in the industrial transition.
3) Providing unions with tools to ensure equal opportunities for all workers.
There were three thematic workshops with a major report commissioned from external experts for each of them before the project was rounded off with a final European conference. The deliverables of the project will be used by industriAll Europe’s affiliates in 39 countries across Europe. IndustriAll Europe will, on its side, use the lessons learned from the project to influence policymaking at EU level.
