FUPROJOB4PAPER - Ensuring Future-Proof Jobs in the Paper Sector: Navigating Just Transition and attractiveness of Sustainable Pulp and Paper industries in the European Union. 

This is a EU funded project.

Developing a social partner’s just transition pathway for the pulp and paper sector to ensure a sustainable future for the sector which is socially responsible and inclusive and which benefits employers, workers and communities.

Expected outcomes:

  • Enhance a just transition in the paper sector with good quality jobs through a just transition pathway for the pulp and paper sector
  • Developing guidelines for a joint just transition pathway for the pulp and paper industries to potentially address risks associated with the transition
  • Strengthen social dialogue and social partners representation and participation in decision-making processes, ensuring that the twin transition affecting the paper industries fair and inclusive
  • Collect and share best practices on just transition in the paper sector.
  • Providing an analysis and gaining a better understanding on the impact of the transitions, to anticipate challenges, adapt strategies and mitigate risks on the employment situation and trends. qualifications, skills, and training needs. working conditions and organisation of work.

There will be 2-3 workshops and and a final conference.

The project starts in May 2025 and will end in April 2027.
