Whirlpoool and the Italian government must work with unions to find a fair and sustainable solutions to protect jobs for the Whirlpool workers. Mass job losses must be avoided at all cost.

IndustriALL Global Union and industriAll European Trade Union, both representing workers in mining, energy and manufacturing industries, express full support and solidarity with the Whirlpool workers, their families and the community, who are fighting against plant closure in Naples.

We are outraged at the company's unilateral decision to close the plant, without proper consultation with concerned unions.

We stand united with the Italian trade unions that are organizing a joint national demonstration today 4 October in Rome to call attention to the plight of the Whirlpool workers in Naples.
