Congress elects new industriAll Europe leadership
                                                                                 Michael Vassiliadis has been elected  for a second mandate as President of industriAll Europe (97,49%  of votes). Michael was born in  1964 in Essen, Germany. He started his career as a  laboratory  technician at Bayer AG in Dormagen. Following this,  Michael became actively involved  in trade union work at IG CPK Leverkusen. He became a full-time trade union officer  in 1986 at IG Chemie (later IG BCE). In 2004, he was elected as member of the  
National Executive Board, and since 2009, he has been President of IG BCE. In  2011, he was elected as President of the European Mining, Chemical and Energy Workers' Federation  (EMCEF) and in 2012, he went on to be elected as President of industriAll  European Trade Union. 
Luc Triangle, former Deputy General Secretary, has  been elected as General Secretary of industriAll Europe (99,39%  of votes). Luc was born in 1961  and comes from Leuven, Belgium. After graduating, he worked as Head of the Youth  and Training department at ACV Leuven. In 1988, he moved to the ACV Metalworkers'  trade union where he started as a trainer. In 1996, he became the international  coordinator for this trade union (later ACV-CSC METEA), where he got involved  in work and activities in the European Metalworkers' Federation (EMF) In 2011,  Luc was elected General Secretary of the European Trade Union Federation of Textiles, Clothing & Leather (ETUF-TCL). Since 2012, he has held the  position of Deputy General Secretary at industriAll European Trade Union. 
Sylvain Lefebvre, former Deputy General Secretary, has  been re-elected as Deputy General Secretary of industriAll Europe (91.56% of votes). Sylvain was  born in 1958 and comes from Bolbec, France. From a young age, Sylvain worked in  a variety of sectors and fields as a technician, machine operator and compliance  manager for several companies. In 2002, he joined the  French trade union FCE FCDT as a full-time officer, where he was dealing with  European and International Affairs. Prior to his election as Deputy General Secretary  at industriAll European Trade Union in 2012, he had held the position of Political Secretary, since 2011, at the European Mine, Chemical and Energy Workers'  Federation (EMCEF). 
Benoît Gérits has been elected as Deputy General  Secretary of industriAll Europe (86.48% of votes). Benoît was born in 1963 and comes from Liège,  Belgium. After graduating in 1986, Benoît worked abroad before moving back to Belgium in 2000. He then became a trade union official at  the Liège-Luxembourg Metalworkers' Federation (FGTB-MWB). Benoît went on to hold  numerous positions within the Wallonia-Brussels Metalworkers' (MWB) trade union  before being appointed as Director of International Relations at FGTB Metalworkers  of Wallonia-Brussels in 2012.
